Garden Design Tips.
It is great fun to plan out your own designer garden. You can design the perfect garden to meet your needs! People will take great effort to personlise and create a unique look to their home, but often the garden is left to follow a standard design plan.
The following brief guides will hopefully provide you with some useful starting points for designing your own garden.
Decking:
You can use softwood or hardwood for decking. It can be built in almost any shape, or size, and is available in a range of colours.
You are advised to visit your local suppliers to see the range of materials available.
Plan you design on paper, and get all the measurements correct before you purchase. Mark out the area for the decking feature in the garden and ensure that everything will fit to the design plan.
Preparation of the site is essential, a brief guide follows:
Clear all vegetation and turf from the area. Compact and level the ground, leaving a gentle slope towards the outer edge of the deck to allow for drainage. Lay a weed-suppressing membrane over the surface and cover with gravel.
General assembly and usage instructions should be provided with the decking materials.
