English Oak (Quercus robur)
Eventual Height: 50 - 70ft (15 - 20m) Enviroment: Fertile and well drained soil. Preferably not in shade.
The English Oak is famed for its strength as timber, but for the home gardener it makes a wonderful tree. Whilst it prefers well drained soil, this tree is fairly accommodating. In the autumn it becomes a larder for the surrounding wildlife as they feast on its fallen acorns.
This tree is sold in two sizes.
