Pots or Borders – Which Is Right For Me?

Two of the most common ways to display flowers in your garden are either in pots or as a border. With most gardeners debating with themself endlessly with which option they should use. Today, we are going to help you decide by discussing both options!

All About Planting In Pots

To begin with, we are going to talk all about planting flowers in pots. As you can imagine, planting in pots can cost more money. This is because you need to take into consideration the cost of the pots, the compost, and the seeds. This can become expensive depending on how many pots you would like in your garden. Regardless of this, planting in pots does allow you to have one amazing advantage. You are able to move these around your garden until you find the perfect spot. You are also able to take these with you if you were to move house, meaning you are not going to lose out on your work and money.

All About Planting In A Border

As the name would suggest, this method of planting involves creating a border around your garden. The main benefit of this is that it allows you to section off the edging of your garden. You will have much more room for flowers than in a singular pot. However, creating a border does mean this will need to stay in the garden it is in. It will not be able to move around with you. Creating a raised border will again cost you a large sum of money with all of the supplies, but a border in ground may result in more weeds than flowers appearing.

As with everything, it is completely up to you which option you choose. It is always down to personal preference and which option will work best for your home.
