No matter the size of your garden, it is important to create a shaded area where those enjoying your outside space are able to escape to when the sun gets too much. But, this is especially difficult in a small garden where space is simply not on your side. So, how can we effectively create shade in a small garden?

The best way we have found to create shade in a small garden is by using a pop-up gazebo. These tend to be on the smaller side and as the name suggests can be popped up and down so they do not need to be up all year round.

Another option is a simple umbrella. These are similar to the gazebo in the sense that they can be put up and down depending on when you want to use them. But these are going to take up less space due to them having one single pole to hold them up.
